We (One Body Village) received an email with a poster from Maly who resides in San Antonio, TX that she and her band will put on a “new year dance” raising awareness for One Body Village.  So we emailed her back and asked her to write a paragraph or two of how she got to know OBV and why did she organize this event?  And here is her email:

Dear Father Martino,

I'm not a writer. I'm a doer. Quoc (the young man who starts www.stopchildrensexslavery.org to be the voice of the children) started the whole journey by bringing his t-shirts to our church. After watching those video I realized how much we have and how much we could help. I started out by pushing my son, Michael who is an artist to make the “Stop children sex slavery” t-shirt designs. This fundraising is nothing Cha. I would like to make it bigger but one little step at a time. I want to really help more but I'm a full time working mom so I just try to do my little help my asking the band to do a fundraising for the cause. That is all. I just want to go to the girls and give them all big hugs and show them that there are people who really care for them. I feel so frustrated when I hear the youth here, who has everything, complaining about not having an I-pod and not getting to go to a movie with their friends. When across the world there are children that wish that they could just have one night of peaceful rest. I can't even pray for myself because I want to save my prayers for them. We have so much Cha, they have nothing. I don't want any credit for this, except for the children over there to know that we all do care about them. Thank you for bringing this information to us. God bless you for your work. Maly

PS: Father, I just realized you don't have face-book account. You need to have one.

We only can hope and pray that there are more people like Maly!  Who after hearing the news will stand up and be a voice, lend a hand, and make a difference in these children lives!  Oh, by the way.  By the way, Father Martino is need of someone who can “build” a Face-book page!  If you can please contact Father Martino fathermartino@onebobyvillage.org

Blessings and peace,

OBV
